This is a weird one when I opened the tin, the first thought that came to my mind was soap. It presents a goodly bit of strength and burns slowly, allowing one to really "drink" the Lakelands in. The Kentucky eventually becomes the most dominant component with the Virginias and the topping/casing fading in intensity. It was flavorful from the first draw and has burnt evenly to the bottom of the bowl. Doing so may be difficult, though, if you like that nicotine wallop. Bracken is one of them. There is a bit of Virginia involved here, not providing much in the way of sweetness to this cigar-like, shreds-of-tar spice factory. After a suitable drying, it breaks and packs well enough, staining my fingers with greasy goodness. There's also a note of hay from the Virginia, this is like a breath of fresh air against the heavy taste. Overall, very dark, with occasional bright flashes. Taste is full.
