To that end, let me jump in and offer my picks for the three best and worst aspects of the finale — plus the resolutions of several key subplots: Three Biggest Finale Complaints With Angie Gower having been killed, they fear for the worse when Adrian Seward goes missing as it seems the killer is now tying up loose ends. Enos: I don’t know if you remember, but there were a few episodes -- in fact, it’s kind of early in the season -- where Holden and Sarah were having a conversation about the mind of the serial killer and how this kind of trophy-taking behavior is textbook, and how sometimes they even give these trophies to their wives or girlfriends so they can relive the event. Enos: It was wonderful; it was so wonderful to have her have some happiness. All rights Enos: To say it was justified would make it sound like it was rational thinking, and I think it was outside of rational thinking, but strangely enough, it was an act of love, too, because in some ways, she sacrificed herself for him. August 4 2013, 8:09 PM PDT. THR: Have the producers or the writers told you anything about where season four could go in terms of the story? Enos: Well, that is the huge question, isn’t it? Enos: I don’t think Sarah actually suspected Skinner, but she definitely knew that something was wrong. To me, The Killing has always been more about the journey (of Linden and Holder methodically working and charmingly vibing) than the destination (of solving the titular homicide). But it was her corpse, of course, that started our crime-solving duo on the path that would ultimately lead to Skinner. * My other pet peeve from the finale was that final red herring of Linden and Holder finding a photo of Reddick with his arm around the first Pied Piper victim on her family’s living room wall — and then discovering Reddick used to be the dead girl’s neighbor. By the time we were shooting those scenes, I was already aware of where it was going, so it made it all the more poignant. THR: The last few episodes of the season were incredibly intense.
