Although the book offers much uniqueness and a great insight into Marcus cuisine I do wish to offer some caution to the novice cook or even home cook. All the drinking is upsetting to me, but I fear that is common in the culture as it is in the Native American culture. Hardcover I felt like I was reading it very slowly, and although I'm sure there's room for improvement, I think my reluctance was actually just that I didn't want to see anything bad happen to these people; a credit to the characterization.
