I understand your point, but I'm sure Self endorses the team concept since that's how he coaches. Of those 9 names, only 2 players were never voted a 1st team All-American, NPOY, or Final Four MOP and those are Jacque Vaughn and Kirk Hinrich so if you want to argue players who don't deserve to have their names retired based on the old guidelines, those are the two that an argument can be built for.
